One of my new favorite things is the “Groupon Deal of the Day.” For those of you who know and use Groupon, you know how helpful and convenient it can be. Every morning when I check my email, I can hardly contain my excitement as I look to see what the day’s Groupon deal of the day will be.

For those of you who don’t know what a Groupon is, I want to let you in on the deals and discounts.

Groupon is a website that features something to do (eat, drink, shop, play) for a discounted price. When you sign up with Groupon, you receive an email every day with the deal of the day. You only have that day to purchase the deal but you have weeks or months to actually use the discount.

For example this weekend the deal was a gift certificate to Weber’s Front Row Pub. For $10 you get $25 worth of credit to use at Weber’s Pub. My brother is a frequent flyer at Weber’s so he purchased several of these Groupons deals. He can use them whenever he wants during the next year.

Yesterday’s deal was half off tickets to see the Vatican exhibit at the Missouri History Museum.

I received a year subscription to St. Louis Magazine for $8.
