Summer Recap

I always feel a little sad when summer is over.  While it doesn't mean the start of school in my house (yet!), it does mean that the days of swimming and lightening bugs are over.  My sadness quickly fades when I remember that my favorite time of year is near.

I get downright giddy when I think about fall.  This year is even more exciting because it will be Katherine's first fall season.  Her Halloween costume is already in the works, and I can't wait to prop her up next to some pumpkins for her first pumpkin patch photo.  I mean, I probably won't be able to sleep tonight just thinking about it.

But before I usher in the next season, here's a recap of our summer favorites in photos (in no particular order):

{Finally summer!}

{4th of July snacks}

{Happy 4th of July!}

{Katherine's first Cardinal game}

{Favorite summer playlist:  Jack Johnson}

{Katherine's first time in the pool}

{Sno Cones!}

{A trip to the Science Center}

{Summer must:  Ted Drewes}

{Shark Week!}

{Taking in a River City Rascals game}

{Visits to Creve Coeur Lake Park}

{Spending time on the deck}

{Summer beverage:  Peach Tea}
{Loving the pool!}

{Katherine's first 4th of July}
{Zach's birthday party}

{Trips to the Farmers Market}

{Summer snack:  S'mores and Sangria Punch}

We had a great summer, but I'm officially ready for fall!  So until Labor Day is over, I will soak up every last moment of summer.  After Labor Day, it's pumpkin time!
