Weekend Recap

We had a fun weekend around here, with grandparents visiting, winery visits, a golf tournament, and a girls' night in.  Besides going to church and making dinner, I didn't do much of anything today.  I even took a nap (gasp!).

Jason's parents were in town for a visit, so on Friday we headed to The Cheesecake Factory (pumpkin cheesecake?  Yes please) for lunch, followed by two carousel rides, and a trip to the American Girl store.
{Deciding what to get for lunch}

{Awaiting round two of carousel riding}
The weather was cold and rainy, but at the end of the day we had cheesecake, fun memories of the carousel, and Baby (or bee-bee) had a new outfit.

On Saturday our house guests had gone home, Jason played in a golf tournament, and I headed out west for a much needed Girls' Day at the winery.  I don't remember the last time I had wine.  Actually, I don't remember the last time I sat and didn't do anything for three whole hours.  It was a much needed break from reality, and the scenery was a great as the company.

Girls' Day continued into Girls' Night In at my house Saturday night, with Katherine and I having "mummy dogs" while watching Hocus Pocus (for the first time this season).  I was impressed that the movie actually held Katherine's attention for most of its hour and a half duration.  And she devoured her "mummy dog."

Now that it's officially October, Halloween is in full swing in our house.  Our calendar is quickly filling up with Halloween activities, and I'm so excited that Katherine will actually get to enjoy Halloween this year.  With the fall-like weather finally here, Halloween costume in the works, and pumpkin flavored everything, I'm so excited about October!
