A Mother's Day Recap
8:24 PMYou may or may not have noticed my week-long absence from blog land. We're fresh off of a quick family trip (a mini vacation, if you will) to Branson (details later this week), and now we've added another great Mother's Day to the books.
Jason made us breakfast this morning. Chocolate chip Belgian waffles (which may or may not have been a frozen microwavable entree), strawberries, and whipped cream. It was more like edible art, and it was delicious.
I received a precious Mother's Day card signed by Jason and Katherine, with Katherine's feet print inside. So sweet.
We went to church and afterwards had a fantastic spaghetti lunch at one of our favorite restaurants.

I can't believe I ever questioned whether or not I wanted to be a mother. This is by far the best job ever. Some days are tough. But some days, your child just wants to give you hugs and kisses all day. Those days are what make it all worth it. I am so grateful to be Katherine's mama, and I'm so blessed to be on this crazy journey called motherhood.
I hope you all had a fabulous Mother's Day filled with love, whether you're a mother, have a mother, or are a mother to fur babies. And for those who are hurting today, whether it be the loss of a child or your own mother, prayers to you for happiness and healing.
Happy Mother's Day!
