10 Years
2:05 PMLast Friday Jason and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary. We didn't go on an elaborate trip. We simply went out to our favorite restaurant.
I would say it's hard to believe we've been married for a decade, but considering we've been together for 16 years, 10 years of marriage doesn't seem that long.
Jason and I went to the same high school together for a year, but never spoke to each other. Then, on New Years Eve in 2000 we spoke for the first time. I was a junior in high school and he was a sophomore in college. After Christmas break, he went back to college and I went back to high school, but we spoke often. My parents were thrilled at the thought of an older college guy calling our house.
Our first official date was on February 10, 2001, and not too long after that he asked me to be his girlfriend.

We got married on January 20, 2007, and went on our honeymoon in Cancun.
Over the last 10 years, we moved four times, bought two different houses, had one child, and our expecting another one.
We've had our ups and downs, but I wouldn't trade him for the world. Katherine and I are so lucky to have such a hard working, caring guy in our lives. Jason is such a good father, and I can't wait for our newest baby to meet him.
