DIY T-Shirt Tank
11:00 AMI'm liking the new upcycled t-shirt trend (have you seen my Etsy Shop?).  I had been looking into the whole "make a tank top out of your old t-shirt" design on Pinterest.  Needless to say, I needed a design that was quick and required no sewing.  I had dabbled around with a couple of t-shirts and finally made this t-shirt tank work.  I can't take credit for this design because lots of people do it this way.  I'm just sharing this quick and easy way to make a tank out of an old t-shirt.
Take an old t-shirt (the bigger, the better) and cut the sleeves and neck out.  Instead of scissors, I used a rotary cutter.  It's a little easier to manage.  Make sure you don't cut too deep, otherwise you'll have a booby shirt.  I would cut a little off at a time.  You can always cut more.  When you've got the neck and sleeve part where you want it, cut 2 or 3 strips off of one of the discarded sleeves.  Cut those open to make a long strip of fabric.
The t-shirt I used here isn't as big and is more "fitted." I personally like the bigger "oversized" design better.
When I washed my tank, I didn't put it in the dryer. I let it air dry.

I made a shirt using your instructions and wore it for the first time last night on my jog. I used a size up from what I normally wear in a t-shirt and the fit was great. Thanks for sharing!
